2014 - German This diploma thesis deals with two Germanic languages English and German with regards to linguistic and didactic spheres. This work consists of two parts. In the theoretical part there is comparison of the English and German language and the description of the situation of learning foreign language at primary schools in the Czech Republic. The language acquisition is also mentioned. The second part is based on quantitative survey of how learners can use the acquired English knowledge during the learning of German and benefit from it. Die Diplomarbeit widmet sich zwei germanischen Sprachen Englisch und Deutsch auf der linguistischen und didaktischen Ebene. Die Arbeit besteht aus zwei Teilen. Im theoretischen Teil werden Deutsch und Englisch verglichen, es folgt die Beschreibung der Situation des Fremdsprachenunterrichts an Grundschulen in der Tschechischen Republik wie auch eine Analyse von dem Spracherwerb. Der zweite Teil der Arbeit konzentriert sich darauf, wie man die schon erworbenen Englischkenntnisse beim Erlernen der deutschen Sprache positiv nutzen kann. Die Konstruktion von Identität bei einer ethnischen Minderheit am Beispiel des Fremdsprachenunterrichts in Südböhmen

2021 - German This master thesis concerns itself with the topic of creation of identity in relation to language acquisition and its role in the teaching of foreign languages. In the first, theoretical part of this thesis, the connection between language and identity is explored from multiple perspectives. First, identity and its numerous subtypes are described from a psychological point of view. Later, the focus shifts to the relationship between the acquisition of language and the construction of identity. Finally, the role of identity trough language acquisition is explored as a part of the teaching of foreign languages. In the second, practical part of this thesis, the theoretical knowledge is put into practice on the example of foreign language teaching in schools in the region of Budweis/České Budějovice, in south Bohemia. Using two questionnaires a comparison is created between a group of English and a group of German learners. This comparison aims to find answers concerning the role of identity in foreign language teaching classes. The goal of this comparison is not only to (dis)prove the differences in the attitudes of the two learner groups towards their target language, but it also tries to find reasons, factors, and explanations, that would help to clarify these differences. These clarifications are then to be used as the basis for recommendations, which would help to optimise the learning of foreign languages through a stronger identification of the learners with their target languages. Tato magisterská práce se zabývá tématem konstrukce identity ve vztahu k osvojování jazyka a rolí identity ve výuce cizích jazyků. V první, teoretické části jsou popsány vztahy mezi jazykem a identitou z několika perspektiv. Nejprve jsou identita a její různé poddruhy definovány z psychologického hlediska. Poté se pozornost přesouvá na spojitost mezi osvojováním jazyků a konstrukcí identity ve vztahu ke kultuře, světonázorům atd. Nakonec je zkoumána role identity a její konstrukce ve výuce cizích jazyků. V druhé, praktické části jsou tyto teoretické poznatky převedeny do praxe na příkladu výuky cizího jazyka v regionu Českých Budějovic v jižních Čechách. Za pomoci dvou formulářů je vytvořeno srovnání mezi skupinou dětí, které se učí německý a skupinou dětí, které se učí anglický jazyk. Toto srovnání má přinést odpovědi na otázky týkající se role identity ve výuce jizích jazyků. Zmíněné srovnání nemá za cíl pouze potvrdit, či vyvrátit rozdíly v přístupu žáků obou skupin, ale snaží se najít i důvody, faktory a vysvětlení, které by pomohly objasnit rozdílné přístupy žáků obou skupin. Tato zjištění mají dále tvořit základ pro doporučení, která by umožnila optimalizaci výuky cizích jazyků skrz využití silnější identifikace žáků s cílovým jazykem. 2021 - German The topic of this diploma thesis is the literature of the GDR from the 50s to the 70s, whose character is formed by the remnants of the Holocaust and the dominance of socialism. After the Second World War, a considerable amount of works with a Jewish theme as well as works dealing with everyday problems in the socialist milieu appears. The East German writer of Jewish origin Jurek Becker is an example of the author who has experience with both the persecution of Jews and the socialist regime, and therefore incorporates them into the main themes of his literary works. The aim of the thesis is to find out how was contemporary literature influenced by these facts, not only by examining the political and cultural context, but especially through the mentioned author and his four novels. Tématem této diplomové práce je literatura NDR od 50. do 70. let, jejíž charakter je utvářen pozůstatky holocaustu a vládou socialismu. Po skončení druhé světové války se objevuje značné množství děl s židovskou tematikou a zároveň díla zabývající se každodenními problémy v socialistickém prostředí. Východoněmecký spisovatel židovského původu Jurek Becker je příkladem autora, který má zkušenosti s pronásledováním Židů i socialistickým režimem, a proto je řadí mezi hlavní témata své literární tvorby. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak byla tehdejší literatura těmito skutečnostmi ovlivněna, a to nejen pomocí zkoumaní politického a kulturního kontextu, ale především prostřednictvím zmíněného autora a jeho čtyř románů. 2020 - German The main topic of this master thesis is a demonstration and explanation of cultural standards in selected works of twentieth century. In relation to studied field, is the selection of literature oriented towards the czech-german area. The thesis binds together two subjects of the previous studies - the intercultural communication and literature. The second goal of this thesis is to prove, that there is certain correlation across the cultural standards. This thesis consists of three parts. The first one is dedicated to the intercultural communication and its main terms. After that follows a chapter about the cultural standards. In the last part, which could be observed as a practical field, the cultural standard will be analyzed and explained with the examples found in the selected literature. Hlavním tématem následující diplomové práce je demonstrace a vysvětlení kulturních standardů ve vybraných dílech literatury dvacátého století. Vzhledem ke studovanému oboru, byl výběr knih zaměřen především na česko-německý areál. Práce v sobě pojí dva prvky, jež byly součástí dosavadního studia, a sice interkulturní komunikaci a literaturu. Druhým cílem této práce je potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotézy, že napříč mezi kulturními standardy existuje jistá vzájemná souvislost. Tato diplomová práce se skládá celkem ze tří částí. První z nich se věnuje oboru Interkulturní komunikace a jejím hlavním pojmům. Dále následuje objasnění teorie kulturních standardů. V poslední části, kterou je také možno považovat za část praktickou, budou standardy analyzovány a vysvětleny na příkladech zvolených literárních děl. 2008 - German Women figures in {\clq}Kudrun` In my thesis I analyze the highborn women figures in the epos Kudrun written in the 13th century. On the basis of their behavior, talk and the narrator{\crq}s comments, I analyze in detail their personality traits which were very unusual for the medieval audience. I also focus on the described contemporary environment in which mainly men are featured and women are very much influenced by them. Some characteristic women features in this epos are compared to the women in the eposes Nibelungenlied, Tristan and Isolde, Iwein and Erec. Last but not least I deal with the description of the feudal structures and the influence of the courtly epic poetry on Kudrun. My aim was to find out whether the women of this epos are passive trophies of men, objects of exchange, kind-hearted conciliators, sly fighters, independent empresses, or even martyrs. I persistently compare all the women figures with the highborn men from royal or aristocratic houses who stand by them. Ultimately, I try to answer the following questions: 1) Is it possible to talk about {\clq}Kudrun{\crq} as about a novel written or initiated by a woman? Was this novel written mainly for women? Or is it a work in which women figures are highlighted and efface the male heroes with their exemplary behavior? 2) Is it correct to call {\clq}Kudrun{\crq} only a reaction to the Nibelungenlied (``Anti-Nibelungenlied{\crqq})? Postavy žen v {\clq}Kudrun` Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám postavami urozených žen v eposu {\clq}Kudrun` ze 13. století. Na základě jejich jednání, přímých promluv a komentářů vypravěče detailně popisuji a analyzuji jejich chování a charakterové vlastnosti, z nichž některé byly pro středověké publikum neobvyklé. Zabývám se také popisovaným dobovým společenským prostředím, ve kterém především muži hrají velmi důležitou roli a ženy jsou jimi silně ovlivňovány. Některé charakteristické rysy žen tohoto eposu srovnávám s ženami v eposech Píseň o Nibelunzích{\clq} Tristan a Isolda, Iwein a Erec. V neposlední řadě se zabývám popisem feudálních struktur a vlivem dvorské epiky na {\clq}Kudrun`. Mým cílem bylo zjistit, zda jsou postavy žen v tomto eposu pasivními trofejemi mužů, předměty výměny, dobrosrdečnými smiřitelkami, lstivými bojovnicemi, samostatnými vládkyněmi, nebo dokonce mučednicemi. Všechny postavy žen průběžně srovnávám s urozenými muži z královských nebo šlechtických rodů, kteří se v tomto díle objevují po jejich boku. Nakonec hledám odpověď na otázky: 1) Lze mluvit o {\clq}Kudrun` jako o románu, jehož autorem, či iniciátorem je žena? Bylo toto dílo napsáno především pro ženské publikum? Nebo se jedná o dílo, ve kterém se do popředí dostávají postavy žen a svým příkladným chováním zastiňují mužské hrdiny? 2) Je správné označovat {\clq}Kudrun` jako pouhou reakci na Píseň o Nibelunzích ({\clqq}Anti-Nibelungenlied``)? Der Topos des Unterwegsseins in ausgewählten Prosawerken von Peter Henisch

2010 - German This study in literary sciences conducts an analysis of selected prosaic works published by the Austrian author Peter Henisch. The study evokes the affirmation that the author makes use of a literary strategy in his writings which consists of four universal topics. These universal topics may be depicted as Grenzenüberschreiten (crossing borders), Generationenkonflikt (conflicts between generations), Gesellschaftskritik (criticizing society) and Interkulturalität (interculturality). The said topics are summarized by the commonplace {--} respectively topos {--} `Being on the way{\crq}, in German language expressed as Unterwegssein. Each of them plays a dominant role within the novels `Die kleine Figur meines Vaters{\crq} (1975), `Schwarzer Peter{\crq} (2000) and `Die schwangere Madonna{\crq} (2005) which are subject to text-based interpretation. The analysis is carried out in two steps. First, after having precisely defined the four universal topics, citations from the texts prove evidence of certain aspects of said topics. Second, the method of parallel comparison (Parallelstellenmethode) examines these aspects to show consistence between citations throughout the selected novels. The outcome of comparison confirms that several aspects are equally used in all of the three novels and that some aspects show up in one or two novels only, confirming the existence of universal topics as well. Thus, the chosen methodology approves the persistent use of all four topics. Finally, this prove of evidence verifies the affirmation of a literary strategy. Tato literárně-vědecká práce se zabývá analýzou vybraných románů rakouského autora Petera Henische. Tezí této práce je, že autor používá určitou literární strategii, která se ukazuje ve čtyřech universálních tématech, jež se dají shrnout pod topos {\clq}qUnterwegssein (volně přeloženo {\clq}qna cestě``). Těmito universálními tématy jsou Grenzenüberschreiten (překračování hranic), Generationenkonflikt (generační konflikt), Gesellschaftskritik (kritika společnosti) a Interkulturalität (interkulturalita). Tato teze je dokazována na třech románech {\clq}Die kleine Figur meines Vaters` (1975), {\clq}Schwarzer Peter` (2000) a {\clq}Die schwangere Madonna` (2005), protože právě v nich tato jmenovaná témata dominují. Prvním krokem analýzy je interpretace jednotlivých románů, jejíž cílem je jasné ohraničení a definování čtyř univerzálních témat. Každé z těchto témat je pak v jednotlivých románech děleno na různé aspekty, které jsou podloženy citáty. Druhým krokem je pak porovnání těchto aspektů metodou paralelních míst. Výsledkem tohoto srovnání je zjištění, že ve všech třech románech se vyskytuje několik shodných aspektů. Dále jsou přítomny i další aspekty objevující se jen v některých románech, které ale také existenci univerzálních témat potvrzují. Důkazem toho, že tato témata se vyskytují v několika románech opakovaně, je potvrzena i má teze literární strategie.
