Determination of fast changes in concentrations of volatile organic compounds was performed using wet effluent diffusion denuder, which allows collection of samples in 2-min intervals. Stanovení rychlých změn koncentrací těkavých organických sloučenin bylo provedeno využitím difúzního denuderu se stékajícím filmem kapaliny, který umožňuje odběr vzorků v časových intervalech již od 2 minut. Voltammetric Determination of Chili Peppers Pungency using Phospholipid Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode\n

The aim of this study was to develop a simple method for evaluation of the pungency in chili peppers with a glassy carbon electrode modified using phospholipid membrane prepared from asolectin. For these purposes cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) have been used. A few different methods have been tested: direct method, transfer method on unmodified and modified electrode, using standard addition method as well as calibration curve method. A statistically significant correlations with the results of the reference HPLC method have been found in case of voltammetric methods, especially in DPV with asolectin modified electrode. Kapsaicin je přírodní alkaloid vyskytující se v plodech chilli paprik, které patří k nejdůležitějším a nejrozšířenějším kořením. Za jejich popularitou stojí významné organoleptické vlastnosti (typická pálivá chuť), antioxidační či antimikrobiální účinky. Pálivost chilli paprik je hlavním důvodem jejich konzumace a z pohledu konzumenta představuje jednu z jejich nejdůležitějších charakteristik. Od toho se proto odvozuje potřeba tuto charakteristiku kvantifikovat. Míra pálivosti přímo souvisí s obsahem kapsaicinu a jemu podobných látek (kapsaicinoidů) v paprikách. Kromě potravinářství nachází kapsaicin své užití i v lesnictví (zemědělství) jako ochrana před okusem stromů zvěří. Organic compounds and markers from coal combustion in different types of boilers used for household heating

Organic compounds (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and organic markers (hopanes) used for the identification of aerosol emission sources were measured in emissions from the combustion of hard and brown coal. Coal was combusted in different\nboilers used for residential heating in the Czech Republic, i.e., overfire boiler, boiler with down-draft combustion and automatic boiler. Organické sloučeniny (polycyklické aromatické uhlovodíky) a organické markery (hopany) používané pro identifikaci zdrojů aerosolů byly měřeny v emisích ze spalování černého a hnědého uhlí. Uhlí bylo spalováno v různých kotlích používaných pro vytápění domácností v České republice, tj. prohořívací, odhořívací a automatický kotel. Settlement of the landscape with European beaver (Castor fiber) in relation to anthropogenic influences

The European beaver (Castor fiber) is a protected species in the Czech Republic that has spread to the whole of Moravia. Now, it is a common species whose competitor is only human. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of human activity, especially tourism or transport, on the settlement of the landscape by the European Beaver. The area of the protected landscape area Litovelske Pomoravi was chosen to evaluate the settlement of the landscape by the beaver, where the beaver forms a stable population for a long time and the frequented cycling routes, hiking trails and the area are frequently visited by natural floodplain forests. The beaver settlement data were collected by means of the winter monitoring of residential stamps using the GPS system in 2017. Data on the location of cycle routes, hiking trails, human settlements and infrastructure were obtained from available GIS layers. Settlement of European beaver was evaluated in relation to the distance and intensity of interference by tourist activities, traffic or buildings. There were 200 km of watercourses in the monitored area. The inhabited beaver was 39% of the length. The beaver avoided human settlements, preferring the natural environment. The influence of tourism on the beaver settlement has not been proven. The aim of the biomanipulation intervention was to reduce the number of undesirable fish species and the aim of the subsequent ichthyological survey to map the state of fish stock after the intervention, with particular emphasis on estimating the abundance and biomass of individual fish species in the reservoir and recommending further management of the reservoir. The report summarizes the results achieved and the draft recommendations. \n\n Cílem biomanipulačního zásahu bylo zredukovat množství nežádoucích druhů ryb a cílem následného ichtyologického průzkumu zmapovat stav rybí obsádky po provedeném zásahu, a to zvláště s důrazem na odhad početnosti a biomasy jednotlivých druhů ryb v nádrži a doporučení dalšího obhospodařování nádrže.
